Travel broadens the mind
Overview:
Vietnam is a land of breathtaking diversity – from misty mountain villages in the North to sun-kissed beaches and floating markets in the South.
Over 18 years as a tour leader and guide for international travelers, I’ve had the privilege of leading guests through every corner of this S-shaped country. And no matter how many times I revisit each region, Vietnam never ceases to surprise and inspire.
Why Vietnam:
For first-time visitors, Vietnam offers an unforgettable mix of natural beauty, rich history, vibrant culture, and warm hospitality. For seasoned travelers, it’s a place that always feels new – with hidden gems, street food wonders, and moments of authenticity that linger long after the trip ends.
- Northern Vietnam – Culture, Mountains & Legends
- Hanoi – Where the history Meets Daily Life:
As the capital city, Hanoi holds a special place in my heart. It’s where ancient temples stand next to colonial buildings and where locals start their mornings with tai chi around Hoan Kiem Lake.
In my experience, international guests are always fascinated by the chaos and charm of the Old Quarter, the subtle flavors of Hanoi’s Street food, and the stories behind every hidden alley.
- Sapa, Ha Giang & The Highlands:
Northern Vietnam is most breathtaking landscapes in Southeast Asia – terraced rice fields, mountain passes, and ethnic minority villages. Treks through Sapa.
Road trips across Ha Giang visits colorful local markets provide meaningful cultural exchanges that travelers never forget.
- Ha Long Bay – Nature’s Masterpiece:
No journey is complete without cruising on Ha Long Bay, where limestone karsts rise from emerald waters. I’ve led countless overnight cruises here, yet every sunrise over the bay still feels magical.
- Central Vietnam – Heritage, Harmony & Coastal Charm
- Hue – Echoes of the Imperial Past:
As a former imperial capital, Hue offers a quiet, refined charm. I love guiding travelers through the citadel, royal tombs, and dragon boat rides on the Perfume River – always accompanied by stories of emperors, poets, and traditions.
- Hoi An -The Lantern-Lit Jewel:
Hoi An is often a favorite. The blend of ancient architecture, riverside cafes, tailors, and traditional crafts creates an unforgettable experience. Guests enjoy cooking classes, bicycle rides through rice fields, and quiet evenings under lantern-lit skies. Here you also visit the oldest Sanctuary of the ancient Champa people
- Da Nang & Central Beaches:
Whether it’s the Marble Mountains or My Khe Beach, the central coast provides – the perfect balance between culture and relaxation. Many of my tours stop here for a refreshing break between the cultural heavyweights of Hue and Hoi An.
- Southern Vietnam – Energy, Contrast & Lively River Life
- Ho Chi Minh City – Fast, Flavorful & Full of Life
Former name is Saigon, this bustling city captures the modern pulse of Vietnam. I often describe it as “organized chaos” – vibrant, energetical, and always on the move. Most of guests love the street food scene, rooftop bars, and war history sites such as Sai Gon river boat trip to the Cu Chi Tunnels.
- Mekong Delta – The River of Life
The Mekong Delta is a world of water, where life flows with the tides. Floating markets, coconut candy workshops, village homestays – this region gives travelers a glimpse into the resilient, river-based lifestyle of the South.
18 Years of Guiding – What I’ve Learned:
Over nearly two decades, I’ve witnessed Vietnam grow and change, but what remains constant is the curiosity of travelers and the pride of locals in sharing their homeland.
My role as a guide is more than just logistics – it’s about building bridges between cultures, telling real stories, and making each journey unforgettable.
“A great tour is not just about seeing the sights – it’s about feeling the spirit of a place.”
Whether you’re planning your first trip or your fifth, Vietnam promises moments of wonder – and I would be honored to design your itinerary and be your guide on that journey.
