Upon arrival at Noi Bai airport, you will be met near the air-bridge and escorted through security and immigration before take to your driver and local English speaking guide waiting outside. Then travel by car to your hotel and balance the day at the hotel.

Today, you will meet a water-puppet craftsman who is the 7th generation in his family to continue practicing and preserving this unique folk art. In his own house, you’ll not only get to attend a live performance on a miniature stage but also learn about the secret techniques and skills it requires to handle the heavy puppets, the history and cultural characteristics lying behind each story displayed.
At the end of the performance, be in the skin of a water puppeteer for a day and find out why it takes decades to become a master water puppeteer by trying to maneuver the puppets yourself with the instructions and also, test your skillfulness in dressing each wooden puppet in lively colors by painting them from scratch.
After the Puppet show, driving back to Hanoi central and Visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (outside on Mondays & Fridays), the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh’s Stilt House, and the One Pillar Pagoda – an iconic symbol of Hanoi with a unique architectural structure. And then going to visit Temple of Literatur3 a symbol of Confucian learning, this was Vietnam’s first university, founded in 1070. Explore its beautiful courtyards, altars, and pavilions.
Then, you will have the chance to experience the life of a Hanoian in the 1950’s and travel through the Old Quarter on a cycle rickshaw. During this stroll, you will get to discover the bustling streets of the “Quarter of the 36 guilds’’ – a place of unique charm and endless activity: artisans, stalls, tinsmiths, jewellers, calligraphers, carpenters, mobile stalls, leather or rattan goods, vendors selling fans, votive objects, lacquer ware, silk, mats, paper, pipes and so much more. After so many years, the Old Quarter still has many small streets and old houses, which have sometimes been damaged, but no modern buildings could disfigure their charm.
